life’s journey

I’m doing something cool. I’m going to share the work and shorts I have shot for the last 15 years. I started learning how to shoot and edit in 1998 with my best friends Steed, Eric, Bacon, and Brad and many other close friends. We would shoot anything and everything just to learn the techniques about shooting a movie. We called it “ghetto gorilla” style shooting. Making it up as we shot, improving and just being us.Β  We snuck into conventions dressed up all odd and walked around the strip in crazy outfits. (Now the strip is a freak show of characters asking for money) We were the first to do it out here but never asked for money.

I will be showing you the Aaron and Brad show, plus a ton of demos I shot for people and movie premieres. I would go and ask anyone that seemed like they needed a promo demo video if I could shoot for them for free and use the footage to promote my self and for them. I did so many free gigs but that was how I got known in the industry, then hired for work all the time.

I would edit in the day time, then I would work as a waiter at night. Then when I was off work we would go out and shoot all night skits until the sun came up. Sometimes I would get gigs in production, work it, then go be a waiter and edit at night. Never a dull moment in my life. I learned a lot this way, and also sneaking into UNLV film classes. When you have no money then u make your dreams come true on your own. That’s how I saw it.

I will be showing you everything along my journey to now. how it all started for me and how I got to where I am now by hard work. I took a big step in life on my own and It paid off. I hope this can help you see that you can do anything if u just try hard in life. Nothing is easy and nothing is free. Its only you that can make it happen. So sit back and watch all this throughout the next 6 months on http://www.youtube.com/agoodwincollections my personal youtube channel.

Thank you everyone and I hope you like the videos.

Hey men, i just saw the domes episode and i just say: There’s good and bad demons. Yeap, that sounds crazy, but it is true. Q: If you close your eyes and concentrate, do you hear something? The same from the slot machine story? Maybe it’s there with you, maybe not. Who knows? You’re not the only who see and feel that.

Glad to hear you lost the weight the proper way by eating to live and not living to eat. Im on the same diet but only get one cheat day a week. A great food to add to your diet is asparagus. Great for you and a natural diuretic so you can look Hugh Jackman lean all year round. Ask any bodybuilder and he will say, that when he is leaning out, its all about asparagus.

Hey Aaron, So Glad I read your post about your earlier years in Vegas for two reasons… First reason if I go and dress up crazy someone may give me money but they won’t get anything in return lol… Secondly … My daughter graduated Full Sail in Orlando She went on to acquire three Bachelors degrees.and I freak out in my head thinking about how much this young lady owes in student loans and the freaking interest not to mention living expenses etc. ! She has her independent businesses one just hit the 10 year marker which she has kept out of the red from the beginning… BUT. Every time I hear her working on projects for FREE, The mom in me gets anxious.. But your both right….. This she makes solid contacts gets a lot of bigger and paying clients just from the referrals… I admire yours and her consistency and determination to not give up on your dreams……Thanks You

Thanks for sharing your work with us, you’ve really done well, especially making your dreams come true and helping others along the way. It shows what a good heart you have and I respect you and I think you are really an awesome guy. Also thanks for sharing your weight loss journey. I’ve seen some of the rude comments others have made and I just want to smack them lol. You deserve better than that! ;-). Take care and keep doing what you are doing.

I understand the over seas idea. I lived in central Mexico for some months when I was first married. Well, my daughter is now going on 14 and we have been back in the states for many years. I had a son and spent many years over weight. I have found going back to a more natural and preservative free diet is better for weight loss and just a better overall attitude. I have lost 40 pound since January and my attitude about everything is better than it has been in my 35 years of life. I do congratulate you in your journey and wish you the beswt of luck with on going of it. Mych love and you will catch me tuning in every Friday!!!!

Hello Aaron,

Thank you for sharing your weightloss success! You look awesome! Since i injured both my knees in December 2011, I’ve put on weight. I changed my diet to smaller portions because working out has been limited to PT. I had surgery on my right knee in January to remove the fluid under the knee. My left knee well that’s a mess too. But i’m working on it, even though i have days when I just want to toss in the towel. It’s hard to adjust to walking 5 miles a day to a few stretches and 12 minutes on a recumbent bike.

Even though i changed to smaller portions, the one thing i didn’t do is drop the sugar (STEVIA) from my coffee AND flavored creamers. I will try your advice and hopefully that will help me start dropping the 50 plus pounds i’ve gained since December.

Thank you for sharing your journey and your awesome talent.

Ann
